Flats are perfect for errands, coffee dates, and shopping. The purpose of a flat is comfort over extended periods of time. You can never own too many of them. Flats are chic, classic and almost always can be worn in lieu of heels any day which is why they are part of the Closet Essentials series. Flats are also usable throughout the four seasons, but boots might work better for you during the snowy days.
I recommend a pair of Tory Burch’s ballet flats. They may run you a couple hundred dollars, but they are definitely worth it. Black, classic and leather all rolled up in this little “heaven on your feet”. Be wary of the thin-soled ballet slippers though, you may need to get those re-soled at some point in their life.
